Tennessee Road Trip
Tennessee is a beautiful state to have a road trip in, with its many unique aspects for everyone to enjoy. Due to its central location in the continental United States, it makes it easy to fly or drive to. The hilly and mountainous terrain only adds to its endless beauty. My fiancé and I drove through this state while visiting Nashville, Dickson, and Chattanooga. All three locations offered its own unique elements when it came to scenery, food, and attractions. Although our trip was short, we were able to explore various sites.

Tennessee is one of only two states to border eight other states: Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri (1). This makes Tennessee a state that is often driven through and seen by a lot of people as they are visintg other parts of the country. Tennessee is also known for its many rivers and dams which help generate hydroelectric power (1). The Norris Dam in Rocky Top, TN was built in the 1930’s and still produces hydro electricity (1).

Nashville, Tn – is a great town with lots to do and eat. A place that I would recommend staying at would be in Dickson, TN. The town is located about 20 mins west of downtown Nashville and offers competitive hotel prices. They also have hotels that are easy on and off the highway with restaurants, gas stations that are conveniently located nearby. As for food and fun, definitely make a trip or two too Broadway Street as this is where all the famous country bars in addition to some great food is located. For more information please visit:

Chattanooga, Tn – Chattanooga is a fun, scenic city located on the Tennessee River and the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Chattanooga has a cozy feel to it with wonderful views of mountains and an overall intimate atmosphere to the town. The city prides itself on its scenic and natural beauties offering a wide range of outdoor activities. The downtown district has wide sidewalks and an abundance of shopping and dining experiences. The downtown district also includes the MoonPie General store where the original MoonPie was created. For more information please visit:
There is a time for departure even when there is no certain place to go.
