Florida is one of America’s most popular tourist states. It is home to the famous Mickey Mouse, palm trees, and the best beaches in the world. The temperature almost never reaches freezing, what’s not to love about Florida. Florida has an abundance of activities to do that will intrigue all ages. Some of these activities can include boat tours, dolphin tours and fishing excursions. The following page will direct you to various locations throughout Florida and give you more a mindful approach to them.

Florida literally has it all, from miles and miles of beaches, to one of the worlds largest and most well renowned theme parks. It also has more sunshine than any other place in the United States. If you need to get away, then Florida will most likely provide you with all that you will need for a tropical vacation.

History

St. Augustine, FL is a great beach town that has a lot of history. This town has a convenient parking plaza by the visitor center that you can park for the whole day. The parking structure is near the historic district and Saint George Street. The historic district has an abundance of restaurants, shopping, treats and many other neat places to look at. St. Augustine has endless beaches and gives off a cozy beach town vibe that is right on the Atlantic Ocean. Located about 50 minutes from the Jacksonville, Florida Airport.

Family Friendly

Orlando, FL is a magical city that offers some world renown hotels and attractions. Some musts in Orlando would be the obvious Disney World. Another place I would check out that is affiliated with Disney but does not require a pass would be Disney Springs. They have a lot of great restaurants, shopping and just an overall pretty cool place to check out.

Old Florida

Dunedin, FL.

Nestled along the Gulf Coast of Florida is the small city of Dunedin. Dunedin is a small vibrant city that is perfect for those who want to experience the Florida lifestyle without the hustle and bustle of its nearby neighboring cities. With a population of just over 36,000 people, Dunedin offers city amenities with a small-town feel. Dunedin is home to an abundance of natural beauty, charming local shops, and some great restaurants.

Italian Charm

Venice, FL.

Venice, Florida is a beautiful city on the West Coast of Florida just south of Sarasota. Named after the Italian city Venice because of its similarities in architecture design in their downtown and the beautifully landscaped boulevards that you will find throughout the main street in downtown Venice. Venice has a very charming downtown consisting of a main street and a few smaller streets which makes navigating downtown very easy and enjoyable.

Hidden Gem

Cape Coral, FL.

A beautiful coastal town in Southwest Florida near Fort Myers. Cape Coral is known for having over 400 miles of canals giving it the nickname “Waterfront Wonderland”. A place of interest would be the Marina Village at Tarpon Point. They have a delicious array of restaurants, ice cream and treats and other fun things to look at and peruse around. If a resort if what you are looking for than look no further than the Westin Resort as this will be a place where you can truly relax and enjoy the warm tropical weather of Florida.

Best Beach

Madeira Beach – Madeira beach is a great place to visit especially when it comes to activities. Located in the Madeira Beach area is Johns Pass. Johns Pass is an outdoor shopping and dining complex with an extensive boardwalk that parallels the Pass between the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay. This place is great as they have many wonderful restaurants, shopping, boat tours, and just a fun boardwalk to walk up and down and see the beautiful waters of the Pass and Boca Ciega Bay.
