Vermont is a wonderous state that has endless mountains. These mountains are covered in forests, hence the nickname the Green Mountain State. Driving through Vermont is like driving through a national park, there is a lot of nature and not much else. Most of the highways are two lanes and zigzag throughout the many mountain ranges in the state.

Vermont is known for the famous and delicious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Maple Syrup, and Cows. Vermont has one cow for every 4 people (1). Imagine a family of four having their own personal cow. How crazy is that? The vast majority of Vermont is either covered in forests or dairy farms, making Vermont one of the largest producers of Dairy products. I sure do love that Vermont Cheddar. Vermont is also the largest producer of maple syrup in the United States, producing over 500,000 gallons a year (1). Now, that is a lot of syrup. Thank you Vermont for making breakfast sweet again.
